We need to become more radical in the reorganisation of our cities. Strategies of multi-coding are required to ensure that this task of the century succeeds.

Dr. Carlo W. Becker, a landscape architect based in Berlin, studied landscape planning at the Technical University of Berlin. Following his studies, Dr. Becker worked as a research assistant in the Department of Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning at the TU Berlin, where he also completed his doctorate. Since 1987, he has been a co-partner at bgmr Landschaftsarchitekten GmbH, an office with 30 employees. From 2011 to 2017, he served as Vice-Professor for Landscape Architecture at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Dr. Becker is also actively involved as a consultant and judge in numerous projects and competitions.
