Christian Remy

After finishing his PhD on sustainable wastewater systems at TU Berlin, Christian joined KWB in 2010 as expert in Life Cycle Assessment. His work focusses on measuring environmental sustainability of all aspects of the urban water cycle, expanding the perspective beyond the water sector to linked fields such as agriculture, energy, and industry. He is leading the group on “Energy & Resources” and explores emerging topics such as circular economy, industrial symbiosis, green energy and sector coupling, and greenhouse gas emission accounting. Combining his engineering background with scientific assessment methods, Christian has been involved in multiple European and national projects on circular economy in the water sector and brings a holistic life-cycle perspective into the discussion on sustainability of this emerging concept.
